A friend of mine has just bought some skates, she came to our meet and greet night and will be trying out for the VRDL in January (bummer she lives in Fairfield!!) Anyway she found a forum about skate stats by Derby chicks. They rate their skates and offer good advice. I thought if anyone was on the market and a little unsure they could check out this site.
