Mini Market

I have an idea...

Why don't we have a mini-market at the next 2 bouts?

Picture this:

Market stalls lining the entrance hall
Stalls full of fun, handmade or local things
Mo' business selling their Mo' awesomeness
Other Derby Leagues selling their merch
Skate shop selling stuff/offering advice
(I'm not thinking mass produced, Chinese imported junk)

Something like the merchandise area at the Great Southern Slam, for those of us that were there.

Each stall holder could be charged a $50 stall fee which will go straight to the Brisvegas travel team. $50 is the approximate going rate for a market stall (although I haven't had a stall in a little over a year, so the price could have gone up). Even if it's slightly more expensive, people may not mind paying knowing that the funds are going to a good cause, not just a local council.

What do you all think?

i think this is a great idea. it requires a lot less organisation than the old sausage sizzle.
stall holders take care of their own set up and money, and we just collect the $50 on their registration.

I have a friend whom is starting out in jewellery/ accessories etc. Is there anyone out there that would'nt mind sharing a stall? $25. each.

Perhaps some people could scout the markets happening over the next two weekends to recruit some stalls that fit the style we're after?
I'd love to but I'm stuck in Brisbane for the next week. I might be able to get a stall together though!

Stack came up with the idea of a cake stall to raise funds. Maybe GRDL could have a cake stall at the mini market and all proceeds go to Brisbane.

I like it.
