Is Roller Derby for you?

If you haven't skated for years or just want to see if Roller Derby is for you, GRDL offers a trial skate with us for 3 sessions. We supply skates and safety gear (depending on availability) and demonstrate basic skating techniques and safety. Once you join GRDL we allow use of spare skates and safety gear for a short period (depending on availability) then we encourage you to purchase your own. We have many experienced members who can offer advise on purchasing skates and gear.

For the 3 sessions we require you to fill out a form for insurance which costs $10. If you decide to continue on, a payment of $15 is made to complete the anual insurance of $25. All skaters pay this insurance and our policy is not to allow skating until it has been paid in full.
