Its probably discussed in the other section of the forum...

...but have the local leagues been approached about doing PR for the upcoming film "Whip It" set for local release Thurs Oct 8?

To my knowledge no one has been approached to do promo, but that doesnt mean we wont all be there, in all our stinky skate gear, throwing jaffas at the screen and basically squealing.

Ballarat's arranged with the cinema to to an info stand on opening night, and we're selling tickets for the first screening as a fundraiser - just their standard deal they do with any group, where you make $5 for every ticket you pre-sell.

Do they want us for PR? Not really! Too bad we're doing it anyway Smile

GRDL will be appearing at the opening at Village Cinemas on the 8th October and handing out goodies.

We're also going out for a big social night on the 16th at Village Cinemas time TBC
